The Escape: Derek Blasberg’s Weekend Jaunt to Marrakesh with ASMALLWORLD

ASMALLWORLD is feting its relaunch today with a lavish build-up fit for the international members-only travel club. The latest was a weekend jaunt to the Taj Palace in Marrakesh, Morocco. CEO Sabine Heller and Chairman Patrick Liotard-Vogt invited 80 boldface names for a colorful weekend to Yves Saint Laurent’s favorite city. Olivia Wilde, Dianna Agron, Lea Seydoux, Marianne Faithfull, Alison Mosshart and more took part in an excursion to the medina, cocktails at the royal suite, dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the heart of the town square — with belly dancers and snake charmers bien sur — a poolside luncheon with camels, a falcon show and a royal salute on horseback, as well as a a sunset dinner in the Moroccan country side, followed by a dance party DJed by Harley Viera Newton, Chelsea Leyland and Paula Goldstein.
